Uploading a file

Start the project

1. Click New project — from the sidebar, the dashboard or the Projects page.
2. On the Upload a file tab, drop a file or click Choose a file.
3. Name the project and set the spoken language.
4. Click Start transcription.

While it uploads

Keep the tab open until the upload finishes — the progress bar shows how far along it is. The project appears in your dashboard as soon as you start, and once the file is uploaded it moves through Processing and Transcribing on its own. The stages are explained in Your first transcript.

Accepted files

MP4, MOV, MP3, WAV and M4A, up to 4 GB. See Supported files and links.
